Robin Valerie Smith, a Dayton native, received her BFA in Acting from Wright State University in June, 2009, as well as her certification as an Actor Combatant from the Society of American Fight Directors.   She has been seen in several shows at Wright State such as Angels in America: Perestroika (Angel/Mormon Mother/Emily), Quiet in the Land (Lydie), Twelfth Night (Feste), The Tempest (U/S, Ariel), Elephant Man (Princess/Ensemble), and Skin of Our Teeth (as your favorite Mammoth).  She also performed at Clark State University as Dorine in Tartuffe.  For this performance she was awarded “Best Breakthrough Female Performance” by the Dayton City Paper; saying “Smith, interjecting her dialogue with a few contemporary spins, while displaying a comic sensibility reminiscent of Julia Louise Dryfus, splendidly tapped into Dorine’s incredibly sardonic spirit, providing a breakthrough performance that was effortless and magnetic”.  She also received a Daytony for her role in Tartuffe.  She spent a summer apprenticing at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, taking classes, deepening her love for classical work, and performing in numerous apprentice productions, including Henry IV: Part 1.  She has also been seen in the community venue performing in Flight of the Lawnchair Man, Prides Crossing, Buried Child, and Anything Goes.  She wishes many hugs and much love to her family, friends, and artistic family of Dayton.  “With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.”

“Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

- Martin Luther King, Jr.
